Huawei is apparently working on its next collapsible telephone, the Huawei Companion X3, for the Chinese market. Today, tipster Electronic Chat Terminal shared what seem to be the key specs of the device.

In accordance with the tipster, the Huawei Companion X3 will be a collapsible telephone with an inward-folding design. The external screen will have a single punch-hole in the top-center position.


On the inside, the Companion X3 will have a large collapsible screen with no punch hole. He also noted that it will be a slim and lightweight collapsible telephone. DCS hasn't already said how big the external and internal displays get on the Companion X3, but he has said that the internal one will have a 2K resolution. Under the hood, it will feature the Snapdragon 820 Plus Gen 1. It shows up that the device may not carry support for a 5G connection because of the ongoing US permissions.


The leakage further mentions that the Companion X3 will load a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast billing support.  The back video camera island of the device will be headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 video camera. It will be assisted by a Sony IMX688 ultra-wide lens and an IMX351 periscope zoom video camera.


The Huawei Companion X3 is most likely to run on the newest variation of HarmonyOS. As per its previous record, the Companion X3 may show up with support for a satellite connection. A current record indicates that the automation of the Companion X3 will begin in March, which suggests that it may launch in the second quarter of this year.
