The era of the 3 main video cams has started - but just in China. While we hope that Oppo changes its mind and does bring the new Find X6 collection to the global market, all we can do in the meantime is a complete review of the X6 Professional (coming quickly) and find out how those Hasselblad-branded video cams perform.

The Professional will be against the Xiaomi 13 Professional and the vivo X90 Pro+ and sadly for worldwide buyers just the Xiaomi is available (and the non-Plus vivo X90 Professional, but that does not have the tele video cam to handle the Oppo). And yes, it will also take on the Apple iPhone 14 Professional Max and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Extremely as well, but if you read our 200MP vs. 1" shootout you'll know that there's no replacement for a large sensing unit when it comes to major digital photography.

The Oppo Find X6 Professional starts at CNY 6,000 for a 12/256GB model. A Xiaomi 13 Professional with the same memory setup is a little bit less expensive at CNY 5,800, the vivo X90 Pro+ is more expensive at CNY 6,500. In Europe, the Xiaomi is a significant €1,400, so the various other 2 will most likely cost more if they were to introduce on the Old Continent.

All 3 phones have large QHD+ 120Hz LTPO displays, all 3 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, all 3 have relatively large batteries with fast billing. And all 3 have amazing video cams, of course.

Today, unless you live in China there's truly just one telephone with a 1" video cam that you could buy (there is the Sharp too, but that is hard to obtain as well). Would certainly you buy the Oppo Find X6 Professional if it was available close to you?

The Oppo Find X6 Professional is beautiful, particularly in the grey steel plus brownish natural leather combination. And it has among the greatest video cam islands we have ever seen, the video cams on there stand for the best that mobile phone technology needs to offer in 2023.

The vivo is the just one of the 3 with a 1" main sensing unit, but its zoom video cam just has a 50mm lens (with a 50MP sensing unit it can do electronic zoom in addition to that). The vivo also uses the Dimensity 9200, production the Xiaomi the just one with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is also the just one with a reduced resolution FHD+ display. The phones have comparable battery capabilities, but the Oppo is the just one without cordless billing.
