Strava has announced a collaboration with Spotify to incorporate paying attention manages straight into its application. Before, anybody tape-taping on the fitness tracker needed to switch to the Spotify application — probably not too big an inconvenience, but time consuming nevertheless.

Strava claims to have 100 million users worldwide, but, with Spotify's 500 million audiences (and many fitness tracker rivals on the marketplace) the integration is a clear sign Strava desires to maintain and expand its target market. Mateo Ortega, Strava's Vice Head of state of Connected Collaborations highlights as a lot: "This new feature further strengthens Strava's position at the facility of connected fitness and proceeds to show the power of the global community of energetic individuals on Strava."


Strava is also taking control of producing Spotify's "Exercise" playlist from April 20th. What "Strava-curated sounds" appear like is something we will need to see and delay.
