Xiaomi had the ability to maintain the 13 Extremely under wraps generally, with some moderate leakages exposing some basic specifications for the previous few months. For circumstances, we understood that the device will have 4 video cams on its back this year and will keep the 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 sensing unit for the main shooter. And currently many thanks to Xiaomi itself we reach learn what the various other 3 sensing units will be.
In a main Weibo post, the company exposed that together with the 50MP Sony IMX989 sensing unit that the 12S Extremely used, the 13 Extremely will feature 3 50MP Sony IMX858 sensing units. The poster also describes some advanced noise-reduction features and better HDR abilities.
We've currently seen this sensing unit at work on the Recognize Magic5 Professional coupled with a.5x telephoto lens. The 13 Extremely, however, will use the IMX858 for its ultrawide video cam (with PDAF, of course), the 3x telephoto and the 5x telephoto.
So, in brief, the Xiaomi 13 Extremely will not just have better video cam equipment but a more flexible one too. We can't delay to see what this combination can perform in practice. And fortunately, we will not need to delay a lot longer as the device will be announced on April 18.
